RotoJelly: at Interpack 2008 Tanis Food Tec introduced an innovative standard jelly system
 
The RotoJelly is designed specifically for biscuit and marshmallow production lines, to continuously produce and deposit pectin jelly. What engineers and manufacturers will love about it is the all-in-one design: all components are fitted onto one frame. Even the water tempering set is part of the skid. No need to buy separate parts anymore that had to be connected and served separately. At the TFT RotoJelly all settings are done on one plc-screen. It is also far less vulnerable for troubles that can occur between connecting parts.

A new feature is the possibility to measure the pH of the product. And because of automated start-up-, interruption- and stop-cycles that include cleaning, jellification in pipe work is history. Today’s severe hygienic standards are easily met because of the thoughtful design.

Within TFT’s range of equipment for aeration, tempering, crystallizing and depositing the RotoJelly represents a new standard that is a production manager’s dream to work with, highly efficient in use, and cost-saving on top.

This fully automatic Ph-set jelly system can be used for:
•    Depositing on biscuits or cookies
•    One-shot depositing or co-extrusion with marshmallow
•    Other applications where a quick setting of jelly is necessary

The RotoJelly system does following for you automatically:

Automatic start-up
Heat the pectin jelly to the correct temperature for adding acid
Add acid at the correct percentage at the right temperature to start setting
Mechanically mix the correct proportion of acid to the pectin base
Measures and controls the final product temperature and Ph level

Short stop up to 5 minutes
Stops automatically and brings the system in safe position for up to 5 minutes

Longer stop up to 1 hour
If no pectin jelly is asked for after 5 minutes at the depositor or extruder, and the risk of setting in the line increases, the jelly pump will start automatically and runs for 30 seconds through the system without adding acid. This will ‘clean’ the line and could keep it at ‘stand by’ for 1 hour.

Shut down
At the end of production or if the stop is longer then 1 hour the machine will automatically go into a cleaning mode, where the system is cleaned with hot water without intervention of an operator.

This compact, fully automatic unit will always give you the right product at the right temperature and Ph level, making sure you have very little down-time and low percentage of scrap.
